How do you present proposals to prospective clients?

I look at the proposal as a confirmation of what has been agreed upon.

I have met (or talked on the phone) with the economic buyer. We have discussed the issues that need to be addressed and the scope of the work. In most cases, we have come to agreement over the desired results of the project. In half of the cases, we have agreed on a price.

My proposals are usually emailed as an attachment. I use MS Word to prepare the document then use software to change the format to a PDF file that most people can open.

I don't recall ever delivering a proposal in person. Someday, however, the situation may make that the right approach. Again, the proposal is confirmation and the reduction to paper of agreements made between me and the economic buyer.
