Define Your Future - Alan Weiss was asked how to design your future. He answered with a set of questions that can be answered looking out two or three years:
-What types of value will you be delivering?
-How wide or narrow geographically?
-How much profit would you like to achieve?
-Who will be your ideal clients?
-What will be your primary marketing avenues to reach them?
-What technologies will you be utilizing?
-How much of your week will be devoted to work?
-Will you want to develop equity, or maximize immediate monetary reward?
-What kind of retirement plan will you be building?
-What will your brand be?
-What would your array of services look like?
-What would your “average” week look like?
Alan shared these questions with me a few weeks ago. I have been spending a few minutes each day since refining my answers. It's a great tool. Thanks Alan for permission to share this with my readers.
